Developmental Edits

Developmental Edits are here to help with the overall shape of your story. This includes working with the structure of your story (character arcs, plot, theme and organization of ideas). If you’re worried about how your story is shaping up, this is a good place to start.

While I can provide edits on an early draft, I can also do a plot and development consultations. Contact me for more details.

Copy Edits

Copy Edits are done on a near final draft of the story. For different editors, it can mean different things. For my services, I focus on grammar, readability, repetitive words, and continuity. This is a smoothing down of any remaining rough edges on your manuscript.

Proofreading

Proofreading is the last pass on a manuscript directly before publishing. This catches final typos, grammar mistakes, and missing punctuation.
